I had a flower brand in California for a couple years. It was small, I only ever worked with 1 farm and made it into 10 retail shops, but I learned a lot. And one of the things I got right was packaging.
But personally- it comes down to one anecdote which I let speak for itself.
I was at an event talking to a couple farmers about packaging and they asked about Grove. I had some flower from my brand that had been sealed 2 years prior, and invited them to open it. When they opened the bag they were shocked by how loud the flower smelled and how well preserved it looked. They challenged the 2 year claim but the inventory tag confirmed it.
Obviously I’m not encouraging 2 year old weed consumption- but it’s nice to know that, should your supply run dangerously dry, Grove can maintain a quality product.
There’s some science involved that differentiates Grove from traditional Mylar bags, but I think the fact that they’re made in America and headquartered in Cleveland is more than reason enough to support them over run of the mill imports from oversees.
